About the founder

Beginning at a very young age, Isabella fascination with beauty has been a constant source of inspiration, fueling her passion for all things aesthetically captivating. This is reflected through glimpses of her past as a competitive dancer which embedded precision, desire, and perfection into her personality which is now pursued throughout her work. Whether it was experimenting with makeup on friends and other dancers or watching endless YouTube videos on anything beauty related, Isabella found joy in enhancing natural beauty. This early fascination planted seeds for her future career in the beauty industry.

In 2020, Isabella Gismondi launched her new journey in the beauty industry, initially with the interest of the 90’s hit phenomenon; cosmetic tooth gems. Prior to this, she attended three years of university in Brantford, Ontario studying towards her undergraduate degree in Forensic Science. Shaped by the influence of parents who ran their own business, Isabella was inspired from an early age to appreciate the value of entrepreneurship and financial independence. At the age of eighteen, Isabella was faced with the world wide pandemic which inspired her to take her first steps into the beauty industry and obtain her cosmetic tooth gem certificate. This would ignite her interest, influencing continuous learning and exploration, expanding her expertise into eyelash extensions, cosmetic teeth whitening, lash lifts, and eyebrow laminations. With these credentials, she decided to dismiss her university degree and pursue the beauty industry full-time.

Armed with determination and a vision, Isabella was set out to establish her own beauty business. Despite all doubts and uncertainties, she took a leap of faith and enrolled in a Toronto beauty collage to obtain her Medical Aesthetician Diploma. It was a challenging journey filled with long hours of study and endless practical training, but every moment was worth it as she gained more skills and invaluable experience. She is now certified in all skin care and facial procedures, laser hair removal, IPL laser, body contouring, body treatments, makeup, microneedling, and waxing.

As the beauty industry continues to evolve, so does Isabella’s approach to business. About a year ago, Isabella embarked on a journey of establishing her own independent beauty school; Gemmedlashes Academy. Throughout years of experience in the industry, she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education in empowering individuals to pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential. Inspired by this vision, she began to dream of creating a space where aspiring beauty professionals could receive top-tier education and mentorship.
